Exam Pattern for the CELPIP Unscored Items
The listening and reading components of the CELPIP exam pattern include an unscored item in addition to the scored sections stated above for the CELPIP – General test and General LS test. These questions are asked at random and have a format that is comparable to the format of scored questions. These questions have been added to the test so that it can be used to design other questions.
CELPIP Scoring Pattern
The Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels were used to calibrate the CELPIP exam results. Your level of English proficiency is indicated by the CELPIP level, which is part of the CELPIP score. Each element of the CELPIP – General Test score and the CELPIP – General LS Test score has a level ascribed to it. Here is a chart that lists each CELPIP level along with the description that goes with it.
